Shaolin Lit is a blog dedicated to discussing all things literary. There will be the occasional shout-out to my home borough, the Shaolin Slum, Staten Island. Somehow the only impressions we’ve left on the world are our incredible fodder for reality TV shows, the former dump (which I guess you really could see from space, I don’t know, but it’s going to be a park four times the size of Central Park soon), and the Wu-Tang Clan. Of the three of them, I would most prefer to align myself with an internationally renowned posse.

As an individual, I am a native New Yorker, born and raised on Staten Island. I am a graduate of St. Francis College, took a creative writing course at Trinity College in Oxford University, and currently work in publishing. I live with my girlfriend and my two step-children. They’re my life.

Wine is good, but Manhattans are better.
